A beautiful easy to grow spring onion with vibrant purple skins and a crisp, mild flavour. This compact, round variety is easy to grow in both containers and garden beds, making it ideal for small spaces. Delicious sliced fresh into salads, scattered over stir-fries, or pickled for a colourful garnish.

Sow thinly into moist, well-prepared soil or compost at a depth of 13mm, with rows 15cm apart. No thinning needed. Water well in dry spells and sow every two weeks for a steady supply. Succession sow every 2 weeks for a continuous supply.
Spring onions are a relatively low maintenance and easy to grow crop. Water during dry spells and protect with fine insect mesh if you have a problem with allium leaf miner. Full maturity in 10-12 weeks.
